Community

26th March 2018Andrew Baxter

“It takes a whole community to educate a child”

As you can see, we really value the contribution that our community makes to the success of our school.

Please see below for some of our links.

Community Group

The Harbottle Community group are local people who come together to voluntarily give their time and expertise to help our school with various projects. They fundraise to:

  • maintain the school garden
  • pay the annual rent of the school playing field
  • purchase play equipment for the school playing field

They also run the community book swap which is situated at the entrance of the school.

If you would like to become involved with the group please contact Margaret Ward on telephone number – 01669 650317

Friends of Harbottle School

The ‘Friends of Harbottle School’ are a group who come together to organise our fundraising events. They raise additional funds for the school but are not involved in the running or the financing of the school.

Meetings are held approximately once a term and usually include a fundraising event or issue that needs to be discussed.

Money raised from the fund-raising events are banked into our school fund and used at the discretion of the school to purchase items and activities not funded by the schools delegated budget.
